Meet Aaron Emmanuel Lewis

Servant. Veteran.
Advocate. Commissioner.

His story is District 7's story.

From Trinidad and Jamaica to Orlando

Aaron Emmanuel Lewis was born in Rockville, Maryland, to parents with Trinidadian and Jamaican roots. When he was six years old, his family moved to Orlando — and this city became home. He grew up here, went to school here, and came to understand at a young age what it means to be part of a community that doesn't always get what it needs.

Service Before Self

After high school, Aaron Emmanuel Lewis enlisted in the United States Army as a cavalry scout — one of the most demanding roles in the military, requiring discipline, situational awareness, and the ability to lead under pressure. He served with distinction until 2019, when he was medically retired. That experience didn't just shape his character. It clarified his mission: serve people, protect the vulnerable, and never stop fighting for what's right.

Building What the System Wouldn't

After leaving the military, Aaron Emmanuel Lewis channeled his energy into community building. As Co-Founder & President of the Framily Support Network (FSN) — a 501(c)(3) focused on homelessness, domestic violence, and human trafficking — he built programs from the ground up. He sat on the Point-In-Time (PIT) Count Steering Committee for Orange, Osceola, and Seminole County, the Homeless Service Network Low-Barrier Shelter Committee, and the Central Florida Commission on Homelessness. He didn't theorize about solutions — he built them.

A Committed Progressive, A Community-First Leader

Aaron Emmanuel Lewis also founded Justice & Power Collective (JPC), a 501(c)(4) that funds grassroots organizations and lobbies for community power. He serves as Treasurer of the Orange County Domestic Violence Task Force and was Chair of the Florida Rising Central Florida Housing Justice Committee.

Why District 7. Why Now.

Aaron Emmanuel Lewis is a proud gay veteran and husband. He lives in Orlando with the man he met while serving in the Army. Together, they are planning to start a family — and like every family in District 7, they deserve a county that works for them.

That's what this campaign is about. Not a career move. Not a title. A mission.

"To demonstrate that everyone has the potential to make a significant impact on the world."

Aaron Emmanuel Lewis is running for Orange County Commissioner, District 7, because District 7 deserves someone who has already spent years proving it.
